Be Thirsty for Knowledge

In the last newsletter, we discussed the importance of your belief system in accomplishing your desired goals. Today I’m going to give you the key to programming your belief system to work for you vs. against you.

There is an epidemic in Corporate America and it’s called lack of self-esteem or belief in oneself. If we had a recording of what our self-talk tells us every day, we would be sadly awakened to how much self-doubt creeps into our unconscious thoughts. Well, here’s the antidote to eliminate negative self-talk and program a healthy belief system.

Affirmations

Yes, it’s just that simple. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, "success is simple, it’s the structure and discipline that is difficult!" I’ve outlined a few tips on how to make affirmations work for you! Remember, I’m only a telephone call away if you need further support.

LEARN IT... Program Your Belief System with Affirmations

YES YOU CAN! Yes, you can bring everything you want in life to you. The key to results is belief and the key to belief is affirmations.

Affirmations reprogram and strengthen your belief system. It is a powerful and proven way to minimize negative self-talk, doubt and lack of confidence.

Affirmations tie closely to the benefits of a positive mental attitude but it goes deeper. It’s not simply an attitude, affirmations turn thoughts and desires into belief.

How to Write Affirmations

  • Make one small daily commitment to yourself and your future. You are worth it!
  • Purchase a specific journal for writing your affirmations
  • Decide when and where you will write your affirmations. For example: before you take a shower in the morning, as soon as you arrive at work, just before bedtime, etc.
  • Every day take 15 minutes to write your affirmations
  • Write them in the present tense as if they have already happened
  • Write each affirmation in a state of gratitude
  • Add your emotion as much as possible. Tap into your 5 senses when writing your affirmations:
    What do I see?
    What do I hear?
    What do I taste?
    What do I smell?
    What do I touch?

Affirmation Examples

  • I see the report that states that I am exceeding all my monthly goal today
  • I hear my peers telling me that I am a valued/respected team member
  • I am revitalized because I made it to the gym today
  • I have unconditional love for my family demonstrated by my actions and words
  • I am rejoicing that my family is safe and healthy today
  • I have all this success because I’m helping my clients succeed in life. I am proud of my contribution to their success
  • I am filled optimism for the future
  • I am home 3 nights a week by 6pm and I do not “plug in” to work while I’m at home
  • I am 100% healthy today
  • I am grateful for the opportunity I have to work for my company

USE IT...

  • Invest 15 minutes a day in YOU and write your affirmations daily
  • Hold yourself accountable to writing your affirmations every day.
  • Ask a spouse, friend, co-worker to hold you accountable

GAIN FROM IT...

  • I am seeing and experiencing my affirmations coming to life.
  • My affirmations have become neon signals that alert me when what I’ve asked for appears
  • My affirmations align my actions and words therefore giving me a sense of control in my life
  • My affirmations transform my words into feelings. Feelings are the catalyst to move me from where I am now and where I want to be.

Thoughts = Feelings = Actions =Results
