Course
Overview
The Coaching for Performance
Workshop is based on Mark
David's book, Coaching
Illustrated, and is designed
specifically for real-world
managers. Participants receive a
personal copy of Coaching
Illustrated to focus on 4 of
Mark's 30 principles during the
course and use as an on-the-spot
coaching tool in the workplace.
The 4 key principles covered in
the workshop create a coaching
quadrant of the most important
and fundamental skills needed
for effective coaching.
Setting clear
expectations through
improved communication
#7 - Tell your team what
you expect
Holding team
members accountable
#9 - HA, HA, HA (Hold
Accountable)
Providing
effective and timely
feedback
#22 - Communication must
be built on a foundation
of confluency
Uncovering the
key source of motivation for
each team member
#19 - Understand that
people do things for
their reasons, not yours
Each coaching principle is
clearly explained and defined by
the trainer. Participants are
guided through individual and
group activities to internalize
each coaching skill and begin
incorporating it into their
management style. Coaching tools
are provided for each
participant to use in the
workshop and take with them to
reinforce their new skills on
the job.
By establishing a culture of
coaching, management becomes
consistent and stable. This
creates a solid and healthy
environment that fosters
performance improvement, is
flexible to change, and releases
the total human potential of
your team, thereby increasing
your bottom line. Coach your
team to success quickly and
effectively!
